I must share. Really, I must - I've been thinking this morning and I keep coming back to just how sweet this moment was last night. After a very long day, with very little time spent with my kids, I was exhausted. So there we are gathered in the living room, eating chocolate chip cookies, and watching Wipeout....a completely uneventful evening.
My son, my darling little 5 year old, climbed over the arm of the chair I was in and hugged me. Fresh from his bath, smelling like his chocolate milkshake bodywash. All snuggled up, he looked at me and said 'I gave you 'O's, now give me 'X's. I looked at him and he repeated it, then explaining - 'you know, X's and O's, like when we sign letters.' My heart melted and they were the sweetest little kisses.
And, well........I just had to share.
